Overview
Our client is a major aerospace and defense manufacturer that produces advanced components and systems for commercial aviation and military applications. The company is adding equipment to its Asheville facility and needs dedicated onsite support to help visiting supplier personnel move through approved areas and follow established facility access requirements.
In this role, you will accompany assigned supplier personnel, maintain visual oversight throughout their onsite activities, and communicate concerns to the onsite lead. Your support helps facility staff remain focused on their primary responsibilities. This is a facility support and coordination role; it does not involve installing equipment, performing repairs, or providing technical supervision.
Responsibilities
- Accompany assigned supplier personnel to designated work areas and other authorized destinations.
- Maintain continuous visual oversight and awareness of assigned personnel’s whereabouts, keeping movement within authorized areas.
- Coordinate visitor check-in, access, and badging with the onsite lead and facility contacts, following established security procedures.
- Remain attentive during installation activity and promptly report safety, access, scheduling, or other concerns to the onsite lead.
- Arrange coverage with the lead before leaving an assigned area for a break or other duty. Plan to remain onsite for lunch.
- Complete required site access training, follow confidentiality and site rules, wear required PPE, and submit accurate personal time records.
Qualifications
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and availability for the selected schedule and anticipated assignment duration.
- Professional communication, attention to detail, and sound judgment when following access rules and escalating concerns.
- Ability to remain alert during extended periods of repetitive or inactive work and move between facility areas as required, with reasonable accommodation as applicable.
- Comfort working long shifts in a manufacturing environment while wearing a hard hat, safety glasses, a vest, and safety shoes.
- Willingness to complete required drug screening, a seven-year criminal background check, facility badging, and site training.
- Customer service, retail, security, visitor services, facility support, or access-monitoring experience is helpful. No degree, technical certification or manufacturing experience is required.
- Due to the nature of the work and the facility’s access requirements, U.S. citizenship is required for this assignment.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including a hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, and steel-toe boots, while working onsite.
