Material Handler
Kelly Services is recruiting a Material Handler for our client in Kankakee, Illinois.
$16.00 per hour · Contract-to-hire
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Friday, 7:00–11:00 a.m.
Expected assignment: Approximately 3–6 months, with the possibility of permanent hire
Position Overview
Support production by moving, staging, and organizing materials, pallets, and finished products throughout the facility.
Responsibilities
- Remove completed pallets of sticks from the Winding area and stage them.
- Keep machines supplied with materials to help prevent production stoppages.
- Assist operators in lifting boxes and unfinished materials onto stands.
- Team-lift large, heavy boxes and stack them up to three high.
- Pull finished roller covers from machines and stage them.
- Keep finished and unfinished materials organized in their designated locations.
- Replenish pallet stacks as needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership.

- Location: Kankakee, Illinois
- Pay: $16.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. and Friday, 7:00–11:00 a.m.
- Employment type: Contract-to-hire
