Assembly Operator II
Kelly Services is hiring a Temporary Assembly Operator II for a Client of ours in Tullahoma, TN,
Location: Tullahoma, TN
Pay rate: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. CST. Occasional overtime may be required beyond the 10-hour shifts, including Fridays and Saturdays.
Job Description
Safely operate and maintain high-speed, large-scale automated assembly machines. Perform equipment setups, changeovers, complex repairs, and major adjustments. Complete quality checks according to the Quality Inspection Plan (QIP), document specified measurements from prints at required intervals, and perform preventive and routine machine maintenance.
Typical Duties
- Operate assigned automated assembly machines safely.
- Perform complex repairs, major adjustments, setups, and changeovers.
- Conduct quality inspections and document measurements as required.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly preventive and routine maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Adjust tooling, including sharpening or conditioning components and checking spring-loaded pin height, keying features, bend stations, and insertion stations.
- Replace sensors, punches, dies, stock components, air cylinders, belts, and other machine parts.
- Adjust housing feeds according to applicable standards.
- Use height indicators, ram optics, gauges, and microscopic visual checks.
- Identify and reset machine faults, clear jams, restart production, and remove and package finished products.
Qualifications and Skill Level
Typically requires at least one year of relevant work experience, vocational training, or a combination of both, along with knowledge of company policies and procedures. Applies job skills and established procedures, and may recognize when a deviation from standard procedures is necessary.
