Join our team and help manufacture products for some of the world’s most recognized brands, including DEWALT, CRAFTSMAN, STANLEY, BLACK+DECKER, IRWIN, and LENOX.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate horizontal electric-controlled atmosphere furnaces and vertical heat-treating equipment for continuous hardening and tempering of various coil sizes.
- Follow prescribed methods, standards, and specifications using identification tags, instructions, charts, and tables.
- Use tools and equipment such as micrometers, vernier calipers, overhead electric hoists, hand trucks, and furnace controls.
- Set up equipment, thread leaders through furnace, and make necessary speed, tension, air flow, and temperature adjustments.
- Join coils by resistance butt welding to ensure continuous operation.
- Monitor temperature and nitrogen atmosphere, making necessary adjustments.
- Inspect coils for visual defects and measure stretch using vernier calipers.
- Secure finished coils and transport them to the next process step.
- Detect and report any defective or unsafe equipment/materials.
- Adhere strictly to all safety rules and procedures.
