Job details

Temporary Product Cart Assembly 1 Day

Location: Novi, MI
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Friday, November 13 Morning shift, starting as early as 8am.
Shift Length: Approximately 6–10 hours, depending on production needs

Position Overview

We are seeking four dependable, hands-on workers to assist with the assembly of product carts for an upcoming production and distribution process.

This is a straightforward assembly position. Unlike traditional production line work, the assignment is strictly focused on building and staging carts. Workers will arrive, assemble the carts, stage them in the designated area, and be finished for the day.

Shift lengths may vary depending on shipment volume and operational needs. Workers should be prepared for a potential 6-, 8-, or 10-hour shift.

Job Responsibilities

  • Unload product carts from pallets and position them for assembly.

  • Each pallet will contain approximately 4–6 carts.

  • Carts arrive laid flat and weigh approximately 40 lbs each.

  • Slide or lift carts off pallets and position them vertically.

  • Complete basic assembly using provided tools.

  • Secure components using 13mm socket wrenches and power drills.

  • Fasten components into existing, pre-drilled holes.

  • Ensure assembled carts are properly positioned and staged in the designated area.

Important: Wheels are already installed on the carts, making them easy to maneuver once assembled. No product loading, product movement, or distribution work is required. Carts will be staged close to the assembly area.

Tools & Equipment

All necessary equipment will be supplied onsite, including:

  • 13mm socket wrenches

  • Power drills

No specialized technical experience is required. This is basic mechanical assembly work involving simple tools and pre-existing assembly points.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and maneuver approximately 40 lbs.

  • Ability to bend, reach, slide, and position carts during assembly.

  • Comfortable performing repetitive physical assembly tasks throughout the shift.

  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a small team.
