Kelly Engineering has an exciting long-term opportunity available for a Daily Maintenance Field Planner in the Seadrift, Texas area! The Daily Maintenance Field Planner is a person experienced in doing maintenance who has the skills and knowledge to create a job package from the work order scope.  The package contains all information about required labor, material, and services to ensure safe, effective and efficient execution of the work.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Spends time in field to accurately assess and plan repair work that is not archived

  • Streamlines plans to safety and effectively perform repairs

  • Creates job packages with all the necessary documents as determined by Best Practice

  • Actively participates and leverages within Planner network

  • Utilizes Internet search capabilities to locate and identify spare parts for ordering

  • Works with site Materials Management Department for ordering parts

  • Monitors planning efficiency by using Planner metrics

  • Initiates work requests as needed

  • Fulfills Global Maintenance Work Process role as required

  • Initiates and participates in Root Cause Investigations

  • Coaches and trains other on planning; able and willing to share knowledge for betterment of the team

  • Uses good verbal and written communications skills

  • Must have strong computer skills as a great deal of plant communication occurs via Dow workstations

  • Identifies opportunities for planning optimization

Requirements for Qualification:

  • High School Graduate or GED

  • Good interpersonal skills are required, both written and verbal

  • Prior planning experience a plus; work will be in an industrial / chemical plant environment

  • Strong computer skills a plus

  • SAP experience a plus
