Kelly Services is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a 2nd Shift Machine Mechanic in Braselton, GA. As a Machine Mechanic, you will be responsible for operating assigned machines, including resistance welding machines, brake presses, and mechanical power presses on the overnight shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate assigned machines and demonstrate the ability to complete OMP for assigned machine within the first 90 days of employment.

  • Consistently meet production requirements and recognize unsafe or defective products, taking corrective actions.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, ensuring documentation such as process monitors and production tickets are filled out accurately.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work 2nd Shift and perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

  • Minimum of one year of related experience working a 2nd shift position.

  • Ability to use the required personal protective equipment at all times.

  • Strong communication skills in English.

  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplying, dividing, counting, and the use of tape measure.

  • Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and use all safety features and equipment.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to walk, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist, and climb ladders or equipment.

  • Maximum unassisted lift of 50lbs and average lift of less than 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.

  • Moderate to loud noise level requiring hearing protection.

  • Safety shoes and eye protection are required.

  • Temperature environment ranging from 0 degrees to 110 degrees.
