Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $21.00–$35.00 per hour, direct hire, full benefits
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Full-Time

What’s a typical day as Powder Coat Specialist? You’ll be:
- Loading parts onto the conveyor line and ensuring proper preparation for powder coating (taping, plugging, bonding, etc.)
- Verifying parts are clean and dry before entering the powder coat spray booth
- Unloading parts from the conveyor and performing 100% quality checks on finished goods
- Carefully handling parts and paperwork to prevent damage, defects, and delays
- Following rework policies for defective parts from internal production or customers
- Using tools and equipment such as forklifts, drill presses, power drills, air tools, hand grinders/orbital tools, and pressure washers
- Deburring, grinding, and cleaning sheet metal parts requiring touch-up or rework
- Adjusting cleaning solutions on the parts wash line as needed
- Assisting with paint color changeovers at the spray booths
- Reading and understanding blueprints and written specifications, including metric measurements
- Supporting 5S, preventive maintenance, and shop floor management activities
- Contributing to ongoing process improvements in the powder coating and finishing area
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (powder coating experience preferred)
- Possess strong knowledge of metal preparation and powder painting (strongly preferred)
- Are comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting and can stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 70 lbs
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset
- Can read blueprints and follow written specifications, including metric systems
- Are familiar with MS Office products, quality systems, or lean manufacturing techniques (a plus)
- Hold a two-year technical degree or have a suitable combination of education and relevant work experience
