Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $23.00 – $43.00 per hour, plus a 15% shift differential after training. Compensation is based on experience.

Shift: 2nd shift (Monday–Friday | 3:30 PM–12:00 AM). Initial training occurs on 1st shift for approximately 4–6 weeks; role transitions to 2nd shift upon completion of training.

What’s a typical day as CNC Machinist – Laser / Bending? You’ll be:

  • Setting up and operating CNC bending, laser cutting, and punching machines, including TRUMPF equipment.

  • Supporting early-stage production runs—developing fixturing, machining methods, and processes.

  • Reading blueprints and inspecting parts using calipers, protractors, tape measures, and other measuring tools.

  • Maintaining high quality standards by ensuring parts meet specifications before proceeding to the next operation.

  • Troubleshooting operating or programming issues to ensure top-quality laser-cut components.

  • Sorting, staging, deburring, grinding, and cleaning sheet metal parts per production orders and drawings.

  • Handling regular machine and area maintenance through 5S and TPM activities.

  • Monitoring inventory levels in the sheet metal storage system.

  • Operating forklifts, overhead cranes, drill presses, power tools, air tools, and grinders as needed.

  • Participating in daily shop floor meetings and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Lifting up to 70 lbs as required.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a minimum of 2–3 years of CNC machining experience, preferably in sheet metal fabrication.

  • Are experienced in operating CNC bending, laser cutting, and punching machines (TRUMPF machine knowledge is a plus).

  • Possess strong blueprint reading and basic inspection skills.

  • Are comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with evolving processes.

  • Are detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining high quality.

  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Are able to work full-time and adapt to 1st and 2nd shift schedules during the training transition.

  • Can lift up to 70 lbs and safely operate various manufacturing equipment.
