What’s a typical day as Scale House Attendant? You’ll be:

  • Accurately weighing incoming and outgoing vehicles using computerized scales and recording data in compliance with regulatory standards

  • Inspecting inbound trailers, verifying seals and paperwork, and maintaining accurate records

  • Communicating effectively with customers, dispatchers, and drivers to ensure smooth operations

  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized scale area, and adhering to all safety policies and procedures

  • Assisting the Associate Site Logistics Scheduler with daily duties and following established schedules

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a High School diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Bring logistics or scale house experience (preferred)

  • Possess 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (a plus)

  • Are a team player with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

  • Demonstrate a strong safety focus and ability to certify on all relevant equipment and technology

  • Are willing to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) within 21 days of the start date (The cost for the TWIC card will be reimbursed within the first 2 paychecks by Kelly)

  • Can perform physical duties including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., working in all weather, using PPE, and hearing alarms

  • Are legally authorized to work in the U.S.
