Facilities Technician – Cummins (Onsite) | Fletcher, NC
2nd Shift | Pay Rate: Starting at $20.75/hr
Monday – Friday, 3:15 PM – 11:30 PM

Overview:
Kelly® is hiring a Facilities Technician to support daily operations at Cummins’ advanced manufacturing site in Fletcher, NC. This is a full-time, 2nd shift onsite position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in supporting mission-critical facility systems. You’ll tackle a variety of hands-on maintenance activities, prioritize safety, and help keep the facility running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Maintain safe work habits and ensure safety is prioritized in all tasks
•    Evaluate work orders for hazards; plan and execute maintenance with a safety-first approach
•    Track, assign, and prioritize all maintenance tasks using management software
•    Coordinate with vendors, engineers, and internal teams to resolve facility needs
•    Order supplies and manage spare parts inventory
•    Complete preventative, reactive, and predictive maintenance tasks
•    Work in varying conditions, including extreme heat, cold, or moisture
•    Ensure cleanliness and safety in all work and common areas
•    Perform minor repairs and upkeep:

•    Plumbing (restrooms, dock drains)
•    Flooring (tile, carpet repair and spill clean-up)
•    Ceiling and light installation
•    Wall repairs (drywall, patching, painting)
•    Exterior yard, pit, and sump upkeep

•    Operate and maintain facility vehicles (forklifts, golf carts, etc.)
•    Use hand and power tools for various maintenance tasks
•    Provide clear communication and updates to supervisors and stakeholders

Qualifications:
•    Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field (preferred)
•    Knowledge of building systems and basic repairs
•    Strong communication and teamwork skills
•    High attention to safety and detail
•    Ability to work independently and under supervision
•    Comfortable performing physical work in various conditions
•    Experience with maintenance management software (preferred, not required)
•    Valid driver’s license required to operate facility vehicles
