Location: Servicing the Southeast area of the U.S. – from LA/AR to VA
Schedule: Full-time (Direct Hire)
Travel: Extensive travel required
Pay:
- $60,000 annual salary
- $75/day per diem while traveling
- OT over 40 hours

Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Service Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, rebuild, and support specialized industrial poultry deboning equipment. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude who enjoys working in a customer-facing field service role and is comfortable traveling extensively to support equipment installations, repairs, and ongoing service needs. The role typically involves working 20–22 days per month, with a schedule that often includes weekends and weekdays off based on business needs. Most schedules run Friday through Tuesday, though installation projects may require travel for up to three weeks at a time.
Essential Functions:
- Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, retrofit, remove, and rebuild industrial equipment and related systems
- Diagnose equipment issues and complete service work efficiently and accurately
- Train customer maintenance teams, operators, and new hires on equipment operation and service practices
- Serve as a technical resource for customers and help identify service needs while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- Act as a liaison between customer personnel, contractors, and internal leadership to ensure clear communication throughout service projects
- Assist with install planning and rebuild projects as needed
- Complete service reports, administrative tasks, and documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Support updates to manuals and troubleshooting guides
- Work closely with internal teams to identify service leads, upgrade opportunities, and continuous improvement ideas
- Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures while maintaining a professional presence in the field
- Assist with additional department needs during peak periods or as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or 2-year technical degree preferred
- 3+ years of technical experience in an industrial service, maintenance, manufacturing, or equipment environment
- 4+ years of related mechanical and/or electrical experience may be considered in place of a degree
- Strong mechanical skills, including equipment installation, welding, grinding, and cutting
- Electrical troubleshooting experience, including PLC calibration, weighing systems, and working with electrical circuits
- Prior leadership or lead technician experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers and all levels of management
- Ability to train others and work independently in the field
- Spanish-speaking ability is preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record required
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to travel for extended periods of time, including at short notice
- Must be able to work in active industrial environments and remain mobile throughout the workday
