Analytical Research Technologist

Employment Type: Full-time, Monday–Friday (40 hours/week)
Work Environment: Laboratory-based (90% lab work)

Overview:

Join our dedicated team in the R&P Refining and Processing segment, where you’ll support cutting-edge R&D and Technical Services Development projects. As an Analytical Research Technologist, you will play a key role in laboratory operations, method development, and data analysis to advance the company’s oil and gas research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently operate analytical and process equipment to collect process and product data with minimal supervision.

  • Develop, implement, and routinely run methods using advanced analytical instrumentation, including IC, LC, gas chromatography, ICP spectroscopy, coulometry, wet chemistry techniques, and other equipment relevant to oil and gas research.

  • Evaluate analytical methods through rigorous data acquisition to ensure applicability, reproducibility, accuracy, and reliability.

  • Utilize software platforms (Excel, Nautilus LIMS, Word, PowerPoint, and other research applications) to plan, analyze, and interpret laboratory experiments and data.

  • Prepare clear, concise research reports and data presentations; communicate findings effectively through oral and written channels, engaging directly with chemists and engineers.

  • Build, operate, and maintain laboratory and mini-plant equipment, including reactors.
