Position Overview

The Production Planner/Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring production activities within designated manufacturing cells. This role ensures efficient operations, optimal cycle times, adherence to quality standards, and on-time delivery. The position also focuses on maximizing resource utilization and supporting overall company objectives.

(Oracle experience required)

In collaboration with the Scheduling team, this role reviews and distributes work orders, production schedules, and shipment timelines to ensure alignment across operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage production schedules for assigned areas based on work order requirements, priorities, and resource availability (labor, materials, machinery, and equipment)

  • Create detailed and realistic schedules in coordination with Master Schedulers

  • Communicate and distribute production schedules and work orders to appropriate teams

  • Adjust and revise schedules as needed to meet changing production demands and priorities

  • Evaluate production requirements and capacity to ensure proper staffing and resource allocation

  • Monitor and manage work-in-process (WIP) and job kit areas to maintain workflow efficiency

  • Track production progress and ensure timely completion of jobs

  • Prepare and submit status reports, including production progress, WIP, and raw material inventory

  • Analyze data to support decision-making related to material supply and finished goods demand

  • Identify schedule variances and implement corrective actions to align with production plans and forecasts

  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement process improvements

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards

  • Support manufacturing operations in delivering high-quality products on time

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 1 year experience using MRP/ERP systems

  • 2+ years of production planning or scheduling experience preferred
