Job Title: Production Operator II
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Work Schedule: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)


Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Operator II to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in converting raw materials into finished goods using specialized equipment, while maintaining high standards for quality and safety. Exceptional performers in this temporary role may be considered for a permanent position.


Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Operation: Operate and monitor a variety of machines and equipment throughout the manufacturing process to produce high-quality finished goods.

  • Inventory Management: Accurately record inventory of raw materials, track materials in process, and maintain up-to-date material data sheets.

  • Quality Assurance: Perform in-process tests (e.g., hardness, weight, variation, pH, moisture content) to ensure products meet required specifications.

  • Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and product issues to maintain optimal production levels.

  • Production Coordination: Follow blueprints, subassembly layouts, and schematics as required for production tasks.

  • Order Tracking: Keep detailed records of orders received, work completed, and inventory status. Match workload and resources to production capacity.

  • Schedule Preparation: Work collaboratively with materials planning, production, and maintenance teams to prepare and monitor the master production schedule. Requisition materials as needed, after coordinating delivery dates.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing or production environment, or equivalent vocational training.

  • Knowledge of company policies, safety procedures, and standard operating practices.

  • Ability to recognize when deviations from established procedures may be necessary and act accordingly.

  • Basic math and measurement skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and production documentation.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
