Position Overview:
Join our team as an Assembler and play a key role in producing high-quality commercial products. In this role, you will perform a variety of semi-skilled tasks, working independently or with a group at production or assembly stations. Assemblers are responsible for ensuring all products meet specifications and build schedules using a variety of tools, fixtures, and measuring equipment.
Pay Rate: $16.43/hour
Work Schedule:
Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Possible overtime required on some Fridays
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform production operations on various parts according to specifications and schedules.
- Make routine adjustments and job changes required for changeover and operation.
- Conduct and record performance tests; make final adjustments and detect defects using testing equipment.
- Rework and/or repair completed products as needed by tearing down and reassembling, installing, replacing, fitting, and adjusting parts.
- Handle, identify, unpack, check, store, and gather material and supplies, including receiving and preparing orders for delivery or return.
- Assemble shipping cartons, determine shipping methods, label and prepare orders for shipment using computerized equipment.
- Build and assemble shipping containers, pallets, and crates; gather and prepare parts and materials for shipments.
- Use motorized vehicles, hoists, and handling equipment to move materials and loads within the facility.
- Clean floors, production areas, offices, and transport scraps or refuse to disposal areas using appropriate equipment.
- Lubricate, clean, and perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as necessary.
- Participate in training, cross-training, job rotation, and fill-in as needed.
- Observe all safety rules and regulations in the performance of job duties.
- Assist in the analysis of manufacturing methods and continuous improvement processes.
- Perform in-process and finished product quality audits and record results.
- Complete other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in assembly or manufacturing environment a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to safely use tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Willingness to participate in training, cross-training, and job rotation.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Working Conditions:
- May require standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
- Use of motorized vehicles and handling equipment as necessary.
- May be required to lift or move materials up to [insert weight requirement, e.g., 50 lbs].
