Position Overview:
We are looking for reliable and safety-minded Material Handlers to join our team on 3rd shift. This position is responsible for replenishing all areas of the factory, maintaining material handling equipment, loading and unloading trailers, and supporting weld booths and assembly areas. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining an efficient and organized production environment.
Job Title: Material Handler
Pay Rate: $20.03/hour
Work Schedule:
Monday – Thursday, 6:30pm-5am
Possible overtime required on some Fridays
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and drive electric-powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices.
Move products, equipment, and materials throughout the warehouse, storage yard, or factory.
Load and unload trailers, and safely transport materials to designated areas.
Replenish materials in weld booths and assembly areas as needed.
Use levers, pedals, and other controls to operate forklift and manage lifting apparatus.
Accurately position forks, lifting platforms, or other devices under, over, or around pallets, skids, boxes, or materials.
Assist the team with continuous improvement efforts in safety, ergonomics, quality, production, parts presentation, maintenance, and materials management.
Perform regular maintenance checks on material handling equipment.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
3 years previous forklift experience is required.
Good attendance and safety record, with adherence to company policies and work rules.
Strong performance on prior jobs.
Good communication skills.
Basic computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Email).
Working Conditions:
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment.
May require lifting, moving, or carrying materials up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs].
Must follow all safety guidelines and operate equipment responsibly.
