Job Posting: Billing Specialist

Location: Missouri City, TX (77489)

Job Type: Temporary (Contract)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)

Pay: $22 hr


Job Summary

The BillingSpecialist is responsible for managing customer portal billing across several key accounts. This role serves as a critical link between our branches and the credit team, ensuring that invoices are accurately keyed into portals, assisting with account setups, and resolving billing disputes to maintain healthy accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Billing Management: Ensure all invoices are submitted accurately and timely according to specific customer guidelines.


  • E-Billing Oversight: Research, reconcile, and review e-billing submissions; resubmit invoices as necessary to correct errors.


  • Portal Maintenance: Assist branches with customer setup in Bill Trust and navigate various web-based customer portals.


  • Dispute Resolution: Work closely with branch locations to resolve aging disputes and payment discrepancies.


  • Reporting & Collaboration: Provide regular invoice status updates to the credit team and research payment information within portals.


  • Special Projects: Support the team with Proof of Delivery (POD) requests, focused account reviews, and other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of invoicing or billing experience.


  • Proven experience in dispute resolution.


  • Prior experience in a distribution environment is a plus.


  • Familiarity with various e-billing portals is highly preferred.

Skills:

  • Technical: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.


  • Communication: Professional written and verbal communication skills.


  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and the ability to follow directions efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


  • Teamwork: Ability to work productively as an independent contributor and as part of a collaborative team.
