Automotive Schematic Engineer

 

  • Location: 100% ONSITE - Foster City, California (94404) - Travel within the Bay Area will be required

  • Duration: 6 month contract – (extension potential)

  • Pay: Negotiable depending on DIRECT related experience Up to $70 – $75/hr

  • Type: W2 contract ONLY - (C2C OR THIRD-PARTY arrangements will NOT be considered)

  • Work Authorization: Must be currently located and authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship requirements.

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Schematic Engineer who will assist in developing and maintaining both logical and physical schematics for our autonomous robots, ensuring proper documentation of electrical and electronic systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain detailed electrical schematics for autonomous vehicle robots.

  • Develop logical system diagrams that clearly communicate system architecture and interactions, focused on interactions within and between robot subsystems.

  • Design and document physical schematics for vehicle subsystems. Collaborate with harness and systems engineers to ensure accurate representation of system connections and interfaces. Actively participate in design reviews and provide technical input for system improvements,

  • Maintain schematic documentation using industry-standard tools and practices. Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and best practices.

  • Support manufacturing, robot verification teams, and service documentation needs through clear, accurate schematic designs.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.

  • 6-8 years of experience creating electrical schematics for automotive applications.

  • Proficient in schematic capture and documentation tools.

  • Strong understanding of automotive electrical and electronic systems and components.

  • Experience with wiring harness design and documentation.

  • Experience working with the Capital Tools suite, specifically Capital Logic.
