Job Summary
The Quality Control Inspector I will primarily be responsible for Shipping QC, which involves the verification of packaged materials, sub-assemblies, and finished products according to established quality procedures and standards. This includes reviewing picked items and verifying their accuracy against released orders. The position will also require cross-training with Incoming Inspection tasks when there are no shipping products to inspect, including verifying procured materials, sub-assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
Essential Functions:
Shipping:
Perform visual inspections of shipping material products according to established procedures.
Verify parts against sales orders and Agile requirements.
Document inspection results using an electronic storage system.
Maintain electronic quality documentation files, such as inspection records.
Read and interpret documentation including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), PDAs, and ECOs.
Verify items including serial numbers, parts and accessories, date codes, batteries, and lot numbers.
Collaborate with other functions and departments as required.
Incoming Inspection:
Conduct Incoming Inspection activities when required.
Inspect, measure, and test manufactured devices to established methods and standards.
Utilize various inspection tools, such as rulers, DVMs, power supplies, and custom fixtures, to support QC inspection.
Document inspection and test results according to established procedures.
Maintain quality documentation files, including Device History Records (DHR) and Inspection History Records.
Process returned materials per established procedures.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
0 to 3 years of experience in a related position required.
Oracle and MES experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Good written and oral communication skills.
Ability to read specifications, procedures, and engineering drawings.
Familiarity with mechanical and electronic test equipment.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Oracle, and MES
