What’s a typical day as Purchasing Specialist? You’ll be:

• Resolving issues with non-conforming material, unclear specifications, or vendor capacity constraints in cross-functional teams.
  

• Following established procurement strategies to meet quality requirements and optimize cost, inventory, delivery, and services.
  

• Planning materials requirements and placing purchase orders from suppliers to support production schedules and new product launches.
  

• Negotiating prices and delivery terms with vendors.
  

• Managing purchase orders using ERP and vendor portal, including analyzing EW and VMI levels.
  

• Assisting stakeholders with validation of new/revised raw materials, components, suppliers, and products.
  

• Analyzing price and inventory forecasts and providing recommendations during annual costing.
  

• Generating purchase orders using the manufacturing enterprise system.
  

• Maintaining gross inventory targets and developing action plans.
  

• Identifying, planning, and executing cost and cycle time reduction initiatives.
  

• Participating in cross-functional projects.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a related field (preferred).
  

• Possess a minimum of 5 years previous related experience.
  

• Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  

• Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have basic SAP knowledge.
  

• Can manage confidential information and build stable working relationships.
  

• Are bilingual in Spanish and English.
  

• Thrive in a team environment, working under general supervision with instructions for routine work.
