Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist
Location: Milwaukee, WI (Onsite)
Salary: $130,000 – $150,000


Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join a growing team supporting regulatory compliance across the U.S. and Canada. This role plays a critical part in ensuring products meet all regulatory requirements within the food & beverage, pet food, nutraceutical, and biotechnology sectors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance of all products sold in the U.S. and Canada with applicable regulatory requirements

  • Monitor, track, and communicate current and emerging regulations impacting the business

  • Prepare and maintain regulatory documentation, including compliance conformity documents and SDS

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product specifications, labeling, allergens, GMO, organic certifications, and regulatory status

  • Support product registrations, certifications, and regulatory dossier submissions

  • Provide labeling and ingredient regulatory guidance to internal teams and customers

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, QA/QC, Production, Sales, and Marketing

  • Train internal teams on regulatory updates and compliance requirements

  • Liaise with regulatory agencies (FDA, USDA, Health Canada), consultants, and industry associations

  • Maintain systems and processes to ensure accurate and consistent regulatory data management

Qualifications
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Biochemistry, Food Safety, Food Engineering, or related field

  • 7–10 years of regulatory affairs experience within a food, beverage, or ingredient company

  • Strong expertise in FDA, USDA, and Health Canada regulations

  • Experience with ingredient compliance, labeling, claims, and product compliance

  • Familiarity with regulatory systems, data management tools, or product lifecycle systems

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in a related field or additional training in regulatory science

  • Experience with international regulations
