Manufacturing Technician (Tech II) – Kelly Services
Schedule:
- Monday – Thursday: 5:30am – 4:00pm
- Mandatory OT occasionally on Fridays
Pay Rate: $22.65/hour
SUMMARY:
Work in a temperature and humidity-controlled manufacturing environment. This position covers the employment prerequisites and core responsibilities for the Tech II level role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Follow documented procedures and perform all required steps to restore pumps to their original state and assure product quality.
- Troubleshoot and repair various pump components.
- Proficiently use a variety of hand tools.
- Perform limited technical repair, production, and restock actions.
- Accurately complete necessary documentation for quality compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, & SKILLS:
- Must be able to identify and differentiate small electronic components by markings.
- Ability to handle daily production demands, demonstrate teamwork, and work cooperatively.
- Capable of reading and following detailed instructions, manually manipulating small parts, and assembling/disassembling medical devices with hand tools.
- Perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision, including all compliance documentation.
- Demonstrate good judgment, a positive attitude, and high initiative.
- Willing and able to learn new assembly/repair techniques and interpret drawings.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Able to work at a fast pace to meet production goals.
- Basic manual math skills.
- Accurate data transcription skills.
- Read and write English proficiently.
- Ability to visually inspect for particulate/foreign matter and distinguish between colors (per FDA requirements).
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Preferred: Experience in mechanical or electrical repair in a manufacturing setting.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Lift and carry up to 15 lbs. from floor to shoulder height; lift 2 lbs. from shoulder to overhead; push/pull up to 6 lbs. maximum force.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- FDA-regulated manufacturing environment with strict work rules to protect the product.
- Must wear a static-protective smock and grounding wrist strap at all times in the work area.
- Must be able to work in close proximity to other employees.
