Kelly Services has partnered with a leading food manufacturing company in Boston, MA who is looking for a Lead Machine Operator.
- Shift: 7-4pm
- Pay: $25
Responsibility:
- Operate all line equipment safely and efficiently; serve as first-responder for troubleshooting and quality control.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of machinery.
- Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure products meet required specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering to safety standards.
- Monitor product quality, flagging issues to supervisors and following GMP and HACCP requirements.
- Achieve short-term goals for efficiency, quality, waste reduction, yield, and safety.
- Supervise and train production workers to meet quality and quantity targets.
- Manage flow and traceability of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products.
- Complete paperwork and data entry accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and quality assurance staff to align with production needs.
- Support other manufacturing facility activities as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a food production environment, including hands-on operation of processing and packaging equipment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, workplace safety, and quality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise a diverse workforce effectively.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with strong attention to detail.
