Job Title: Production Operator
Location: Medway, MA 02053
Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday – Thursday, 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM)
Pay Rate: $19.38/hour + 10% shift differential (based on experience)
Position Overview
The Production Operator is responsible for supporting efficient and high-quality production within the ECC department. This role requires prior manufacturing experience (non-warehouse) and the ability to operate equipment with precision while adhering to strict quality standards.
Note: Training will be conducted on 1st shift (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) for approximately 1–3 months, depending on training progress, before transitioning to 2nd shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and verify quality on a wide variety of ECC saws involving close tolerances
- Perform routine and repetitive production operations while meeting quality and output standards
- Follow drawings, specifications, and traveler instructions under supervision as needed
- Conduct quality inspections using fixed and adjustable precision measuring tools
- Maintain tooling required to produce parts within specifications
- Perform basic machine maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all company, departmental, and quality policies and procedures
- Communicate job-related issues and updates to Area Lead
- Support team-oriented work environment and collaborate across the department
- Perform multiple operations and additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior manufacturing experience required (warehouse experience alone is not sufficient)
- Experience operating ECC saws preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Frequent use of hands for handling tools and materials
- Occasional standing, walking, stooping, and reaching
- Visual requirements include close, distance, color, and depth perception
- Work performed in a general machine shop environment
