Location: 9015 Airpark W. Dr., Ste A, Charlotte, NC 28214
Pay: $30.00/hour
Shift: 3rd Shift (Tuesday – Saturday | 1:00 AM – 9:15 AM)
Type: Contract (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)
Position Overview
We are seeking a performance-driven Manufacturing Technician I to support production operations at Pitney Bowes. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial mechanical and electrical equipment
- Maintain and support conveyor systems and automated sortation equipment
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) to reduce downtime
- Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and service manuals
- Maintain spare parts inventory and support work order systems
- Perform repairs on:
- Motors, belts, and pulley systems
- Hydraulic and pneumatic components
- Sensors, relays, solenoids, and switches
- Motors, belts, and pulley systems
- Use diagnostic tools such as multi-meters and electronic testing equipment
- Support installation and setup of industrial equipment as needed
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing
- Experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Familiarity with conveyors, sortation systems, or automated equipment
- Basic knowledge of PLC systems (preferred)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Basic computer skills (Windows-based systems)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work around machinery and in an industrial environment
Work Environment
- Industrial production facility
- Exposure to moving machinery and mechanical equipment
- PPE required as applicable
