Title: Quality Control Inspector
Location: Kankakee, IL
Duration: 9 months +
Pay Rate: $21.50/hour
Shift: 1st shift / Monday – Friday / 8:00am – 4:30pm

Overview
Responsible for all phases of incoming sampling and inspection of all raw materials, components, primary and secondary labeling, and other manufacturing operating supplies per appropriate specification and/or procedure to ensure adherence to cGMPs and other regulatory requirements.
After inspection and a review of all appropriate documentation, disposition materials per appropriate Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and material specification.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures material pending disposition is held in the appropriate location.

  • Sample material according to the applicable SOP(s) and material specification.

  • Sample and inspect material using appropriate tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Assures material meets the applicable requirements utilizing the appropriate inspection methods described in the SOP and/or material specification.

  • Follows strict cGMPs in assuring material maintains the safety, identity, strength, quality, and purity that it purports or is represented to possess.

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate records for all materials inspected.

  • Determines the disposition of the material.

  • Assists in the training of Incoming inspectors.

  • Assists Quality Release management when requested.

  • Completes the appropriate documentation when material is dispositioned and routes to appropriate departments.

  • Properly identifies materials with the appropriate disposition and information required.

  • Assist QC Management with various tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (scientific discipline, preferred). High School Diploma required.

  • Experience 1-2 years related experience is preferred.

  • Good written, verbal and mathematical skills.

  • Ability to work well with others.

  • Works with minimal supervision are imperative.

Additional Information

  • Monday – Friday / 8:00am – 4:30 pm

  • Contract position slated for 9 months; coverage for an employee on leave of absence

  • All required PPE to be provided/paid for by company
