Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:
$43.88 per hour – Direct Hire

Location: 1249 Newark Turnpike, Kearny, NJ 07032

Pay: $43.88ph

Shift: 5:45 pm to 6:00 am – 36/48 schedule. During training, they need to be available from 5:45 am to 6:00 pm (2 to 3 months)

Contract: Direct Hire

What’s a typical day as Electrical Technician? You’ll be:

  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and electronic components in industrial machinery and equipment

  • Troubleshooting power circuits, motor controls, AC/DC/Servo drive systems, and burner systems

  • Reading schematics, blueprints, and P&ID drawings to diagnose and resolve issues

  • Leading root cause analysis, minimizing downtime, and optimizing plant performance

  • Developing preventive and predictive maintenance programs for motors, panels, and electrical systems

  • Coordinating plant electrical training programs and supporting automation/electrical projects

  • Complying with all safety and environmental regulations while promoting a clean work environment

  • Operating tools, equipment, forklifts, and man lifts safely

  • Supporting shift rotation and regularly attending onsite

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED (required)

  • Bring at least 7 years of related maintenance/electrical experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)

  • Have PLC training or strong understanding of industrial electrical and electronic systems (preferred)

  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and following safety and procedure manuals

  • Are capable of regular, physically demanding work (standing, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, repetitive movements)

  • Communicate effectively in English and can work independently or as part of a team

  • Are available for a rotating night shift (5:45 pm – 6:00 am, 36/48 schedule) and can attend day shift training (5:45 am – 6:00 pm for 2 to 3 months)

  • Show attention to detail, quick decision-making under pressure, and a commitment to workplace safety
