Job Title: Assembly Operator I
Location: Fairview, NC
Hours: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $17.61 per hour

Position Summary:
The Assembly Operator I is responsible for assembling components and ensuring the highest quality standards are met. This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with potential for long-term employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble components using small hand tools, microscopes, and fixtures according to detailed work instructions and drawings.
- Inspect products to ensure quality standards are met; perform pull tests and measurements using calipers, gauges, and other devices.
- Complete all necessary paperwork for operational traceability and product documentation.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Follow Company’s Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned to support production goals.
- Operate machinery and move between work zones as required.
- Read and interpret product blueprints when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Basic computer and good communication skills preferred.
- Experience with measuring devices (calipers, gauges) preferred.
- Ability to interpret product blueprints preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Able to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Able to remain stationary for up to 75% of the shift.
- Proficient in English and able to follow written instructions.
Compliance Requirements:
This position requires access to information regulated under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.
