Position: Sr. Accountant
Temp to Hire position.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant / Senior AP Specialist, This role will be responsible for AP & GL accounting, month-end close process, SOX reviews, and financial audit. A successful candidate would be someone who has a strong accounting knowledge to handle all general accounting/financial duties in compliance with GAAP and is eager to learn and grow in his/her career with the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process & review AP invoices, check run, wires/ACH – Focus on accuracy, efficiency & timeliness.

  • Liaison with department heads for approvals, purchasing team and receiving team.

  • Manage vendor relationship by monitoring timely payments & resolving open issues.

  • Prepare/ review monthly AP accruals, prepaid amortization, fixed assets depreciation, deferred rent, and other reconciliations.

  • Assist in month-end close process, account reconciliation and analysis, enter/ review journal entries, SOX compliance, financial audit.

  • Responsible for the timely 1099 filings

  • Provide guidance to Accountant / Staff Accountant for accurate AP processing & accounting-related questions

  • Identify areas for process improvement, Participate in the Accounting/ ERP system implementation/ improvement

  • Support the team with other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting / business / finance. CPA or CPA candidate a plus

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing company

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with Excel: vlookup, if function, pivot table, etc.

  • Hands-on experience processing GL

  • Strong communication and analytical skills are essential

  • Ability to strive in a fast-paced environment

  • Reliable, detail-oriented and able to work independently

  • Expandable ERP systems experience a plus
