Position Title: Controls Technician 
Location: Silver Springs, NY
Type: 3 months Temp to Poss. Permanent Hire
Hourly range 40hr – 50hr+ ( Depending on experience) 

Position Overview

ALLEN BRADLEY -  PLC TROUBLESHOOTING A MUST HAVE – REQUIRED

The Controls Technician provides technical support to production teams to improve process efficiency, equipment reliability, and product quality. This role serves as a key resource for troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing automation systems and instrumentation within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all company safety policies and proactively identifying potential hazards.

  • Support production and maintenance teams by diagnosing and resolving issues with automated systems and PLCs, 

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and program PLCs, systems, and other automation equipment.

  • Calibrate, maintain, and support facility instrumentation, controllers, and alarm systems.

  • Modifying and improving existing programs, including PLC logic, automation software, databases, and spreadsheets.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation Technology, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial controls experience.
