Kelly Services is hiring a Powder Coat Specialist (Manufacturing Operator) in Farmington, CT!
Join a modern “Smart Factory” environment where you’ll support powder coating operations to ensure parts are delivered on time and meet strict quality standards. This is a hands-on role working with sheet metal components in a fast-paced production setting.
What You’ll Do
- Load and prepare parts for powder coating (taping, plugging, bonding)
- Ensure parts are clean and ready before entering the spray booth
- Unload coated parts and verify quality standards are met
- Perform deburring, grinding, and touch-up work as needed
- Assist with paint color changeovers and routine equipment checks
- Use tools such as forklifts, grinders, air tools, and wash systems
- Follow rework procedures for defective parts
- Maintain organized work areas and support 5S and maintenance activities
What You’ll Bring
- Manufacturing or industrial experience required
- Powder coating or metal finishing experience preferred
- Knowledge of metal prep, painting, or coating processes strongly preferred
- Ability to read basic blueprints and specifications (metric a plus)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and quality
Schedule & Pay
- Monday–Friday | 7:00AM-3:30PM | Full-Time
- $19.00–$20.00/hr | Weekly Pay
- Long Term Temp
