Kelly Government Solutions is seeking a Biomedical Technical Advisor (Oncology Diagnostics) to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). This position supports the Agency’s mission to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone through cutting-edge research and development projects designed for high-impact solutions to society’s most challenging health problems. This is a funded remote position that may involve domestic travel (~10-20%) to support the Program needs.
KEY TASKS
(1) Support an Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) Program Manager with the development, funding, and management of new and existing programs to accelerate better health outcomes through leading-edge research and development (R&D) projects designed for early intervention and detection in oncology
(2) Conduct thorough technical scientific evaluation of the current R&D landscape to identify gaps in research portfolios and address critical needs that are aligned with the ARPA-H mission.
(3) Monitor and track performers progress toward established metrics.
(4) Read and review complex scientific and technical data and develop team and executive level briefings for technical and non-technical audiences.
(5) Integrate into an existing team to support current ARPA-H efforts and operate independently and in a group environment in support of technical R&D efforts.
(6) Perform basic administrative tasks such as collecting, sorting, analyzing, and writing Internal programmatic reports/briefings on relevant topics in a health-related field.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
(1) Ph.D. in biomedical sciences with a preference for one of the following or related fields: oncology, cancer biology, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, and/or chemical engineering.
(2) Minimum of 8 years of industry experience from work performed at biotechnology or biopharmaceutical companies focused on diagnostics (including point-of-care) startups or mid-cap companies
(3) Expertise in medical device development (hardware and software) desired
(4) Experience with regulatory affairs for oncology diagnostics and medical devices.
(5) Experience with basic and applied research including supporting executives and large budget programs in an R&D environment preferred
(6) Availability to travel domestically as needed to fully support program manager and program operations
(7) US Citizenship and/or lawful permanent residency is required as per contract requirements to obtain Public Trust clearance.
