Pay Rate: $23/hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM; Saturday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedules may vary based on business needs and may include weekends.

Position Overview
This is a hands-on, physically demanding sanitation role within a food production environment. It is not a janitorial position. The role focuses on deep cleaning and sanitizing food processing equipment to meet strict quality and safety standards.
Sanitation Technicians are responsible for disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling complex equipment—specifically systems that transport food products (such as pudding) from large kettles to filling machines. This work is repetitive, detail-oriented, and requires adherence to strict sanitation procedures.

Key Responsibilities
• Disassemble and thoroughly clean food production equipment, including large industrial kettles
• Manually scrub and sanitize equipment using approved chemicals and high-pressure washers
• Follow all SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures)
• Safely handle and properly dilute cleaning chemicals according to guidelines
• Reassemble equipment after cleaning to ensure proper operation
• Maintain accurate sanitation records and complete daily documentation
• Support CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems and silo cleaning processes
• Respond to sanitation-related issues or emergencies as needed
• Assist in training other team members when required
• Fill in for other roles or departments as necessary

Work Environment & Physical Demands
• Standing: Required for the entire shift
• Lifting: Up to 50 lbs regularly
• Environment: Exposure to hot and cold conditions
• Conditions: Wet environment with frequent use of water and cleaning chemicals
• Noise: Typical of a manufacturing/production facility
Employees must use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including specialized boots and protective gear when working with chemicals and high-pressure equipment.

Performance Expectations
• After training, technicians are expected to clean a production kettle in approximately 60–75 minutes
• Work must meet strict quality standards—cleaned equipment is inspected through Quality Assurance testing, including microscopic verification

Qualifications
• Mechanical aptitude (ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment)
• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
• Familiarity with MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and safe chemical handling
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to sanitation standards
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English or Spanish
