Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Position Overview
Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you’ll play a vital role in assembling airport runway signs and lights for essential businesses. This is not an assembly line role—you’ll work on a variety of custom products in a dynamic job shop setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly of airport runway signs, utilizing lift tables and hand tools
- Accurately align and secure parts (feet, floor, sides, top pieces, J rails) using screws, adhesives, washers, bolts, and necessary sealants
- Attach tethers, load and secure finished signs onto skids, tag, and stage orders for delivery
- Conduct inspections for accuracy and showroom-quality finish
- Work collaboratively and cross-train within a versatile, fast-paced department
- Contribute to solutions that enhance team performance
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years’ experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics
- Proficiency using power, air, and hand tools (including riveting tools)
- Experience applying silicone, butyl sealants, and gaskets
- Ability to lift 10–75 lbs consistently; comfortable with standing, bending, reaching, squatting, pulling, and pushing throughout the shift
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Pallet jack experience required; forklift experience a plus
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, business systems)
- Familiarity with ISO standards a plus
- Dependable, accountable, and team-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks
