Metal Products Assembly Technician – 1st Shift
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Location: Gahanna, OH
Competitive wage: Starting at $20/hour (negotiable with experience)

Overview:
Join our dynamic and fast-paced job shop team supporting the Power Industry. As a Metal Products Assembly Technician, you will be trained alongside experienced professionals to assemble custom cabinets, enclosures, and metal frameworks. We value cross-training and teamwork, enabling associates to grow and contribute across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble custom metal products, including cabinets, enclosures, and frameworks

  • Interpret technical prints and schematics accurately

  • Utilize power/air tools, hand tools, and assembly equipment (including rivet guns)

  • Coordinate with seasoned team members and take part in cross-training

  • Operate finishing equipment such as hand grinders, deburring tools, and pallet jacks

  • Contribute solutions and ideas to enhance production outcomes

  • Maintain high attention to detail and quality standards

  • Perform physical duties including lifting (up to 50 lbs.), standing, squatting, and reaching

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment (non-assembly line)

  • Background or strong interest in metal work/fabrication

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings

  • Mechanically inclined, with proficiency in power, air, and hand tools

  • Consistent, reliable attendance

  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively

  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, business software)

  • Strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a job shop manufacturing setting

  • Ability to identify and work with various metals, including steel and aluminum

  • Familiarity with silicone and butyl sealants, gaskets, and related applications
