Job Title: Wood Finisher – 2nd Shift
Pay: $20.00+
Reports To: Finish Room Manager/Finishing Lead
Summary
Under the supervision of the Finishing Manager, the Wood Finisher is responsible for ensuring that customer quality and productivity standards are achieved through expert application of wood finishes, stains, colors, and textures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform all finishing work within the spray booth.
- Mix and match colors to meet product and production specifications.
- Apply finishes, stains, colors, and textures to wood surfaces.
- Prepare products by sanding, repairing, and conditioning wood for priming, staining, painting, and finishing.
- Operate various sanding, wood cutting, and drilling machines as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and use proper protective equipment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience and Education
- High school diploma or GED required; or one to three months of related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience in wood finishing and working in a spray booth preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to operate hand tools and basic woodworking equipment.
- Knowledge of color matching and wood finishing techniques.
- Understanding of unit measures and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read and comprehend work orders, instructions, and safety memos in English.

Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, use hands and arms, talk, and hear.

- Requires close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
- Occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions and extreme heat.
- Work environment noise levels are usually loud.
