Production Support Supervisor
1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Salary: $65,000–$74,000
Location: Cincinnati, OH

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Production Support Supervisor to oversee and coordinate production support operations on our first shift. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team ensuring the efficient execution of materials preparation, labeling, filling, and packaging processes. You will drive quality and safety standards, troubleshoot production issues, and foster a culture of continuous improvement to support on-time and accurate production.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Leadership
- Maintain strong “on-floor” presence, actively guiding and motivating the Production Support team
- Assign daily tasks, set work priorities, and monitor workflow to ensure efficient operations
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff; conduct performance reviews and identify skill gaps
- Communicate and enforce company policies, health, and safety standards
Production Support Operations
- Oversee processes including label creation, container preparation, filling, labeling, and packaging
- Ensure all materials and finished goods meet customer requirements and quality standards
- Review batch tickets, investigate discrepancies, and support timely production scheduling
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure completion of production targets
Quality, Compliance & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with GMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and support corrective actions from quality investigations
- Participate in audits, inspections, and internal/external documentation processes
Process Improvement & Coordination
- Identify and resolve issues impacting scheduling, staffing, equipment, or quality
- Analyze operational data to drive root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Collaborate across departments to implement best practices and process improvements
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical/scientific field preferred
- 3–6 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment required
- Hands-on experience in production support, packaging, or chemical/ink manufacturing highly preferred
- Proficiency with ERP systems required (Process Pro or Global a plus)
- Strong knowledge of production documentation, quality systems, and process improvement
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development abilities
Physical Requirements:
- Regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs; up to 75 lbs with assistance or equipment)
- Ability to maneuver materials using pallet jacks or drum handlers
- Exposure to warehouse/production conditions (heat, cold, noise, dust, fumes)
- Required visual abilities: close vision, distance vision, depth perception
