About the Role
We are searching for a Process Utility Systems Engineer to play a vital part in our expanding semiconductor manufacturing operations. This is a dynamic position that spans the entire project lifecycle—from initial planning and installation through ongoing operations and system improvements—requiring flexibility, initiative, and hands-on technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with engineering teams and project consultants to confirm all utility system specifications are met during the design and construction phases.

  • Interpret technical drawings and project documentation to oversee construction and ensure milestones are achieved on schedule.

  • Take part in equipment commissioning, including preparing systems for operational use and conducting thorough testing procedures.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges that arise during both construction and system start-up.

  • Maintain up-to-date process system documentation, and coordinate the transition of systems from construction to operational teams.

  • Provide technical support for critical utilities including chilled water, cooling towers, steam, and vacuum systems, ensuring they run optimally for manufacturing needs.

  • Respond to control issues in cleanroom environments, monitoring temperature, humidity, and pressure to maintain required standards.

  • Track system performance using data analysis and report findings with recommendations.

  • Champion energy efficiency by identifying and enacting waste reduction or process improvement initiatives.

  • Research and introduce new technologies that strengthen system dependability, efficiency, and safety.

  • Develop and execute plans for system capacity, maintenance, and expansion to align with production goals.

  • Collaborate closely with maintenance and operations personnel to enhance reliability and develop streamlined maintenance processes.

  • Review and assess facility and tool schematics throughout utility hook-up, providing detailed engineering evaluations.

  • Apply proven reliability engineering techniques—such as failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) and root cause investigation—to continuously elevate system performance.

  • Lead and support capital and expense projects aimed at facility enhancement.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • At least 3 years’ experience working with process utility engineering in manufacturing facilities, ideally in the semiconductor or similar high-tech sector.

  • Proven expertise in utility systems such as chilled water, steam, cooling towers, and process vacuum.

  • Comfortable interpreting complex engineering drawings and technical documents.

  • Practical knowledge of cleanroom protocols and HVAC or exhaust system operations.

  • Skilled in programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, effective problem-solving, and sound judgement.

  • Experience across the full project lifecycle: facility design, construction, commissioning, and ramp-up.

  • Professional Engineering License (PE) is highly desired but not required.
