Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Environmental Engineer with a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license to lead waste management initiatives within our semiconductor operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and improving waste treatment processes, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and driving continuous improvement in our waste management programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee waste management strategies, focusing on hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations (including EPA, OSHA, and state-specific agencies).
- Monitor, evaluate, and optimize waste treatment systems and environmental controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce waste generation and support sustainability initiatives.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation.
- Conduct environmental risk assessments and audits.
- Provide technical guidance and training to staff regarding waste management standards and practices.
- Lead root-cause analysis of environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
- Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Proven experience in waste management, preferably within the semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
