Wastewater Operator – 2nd & 3rd Shift Openings

Location: North Attleboro, MA
Pay range: $30–35/hour
Duration: Full-Time | Industrial Manufacturing Environment
Schedules available: 

  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM

  • 3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
    (Occasional Saturdays as needed)

We are a global leader in precious metals refining, recycling, and advanced industrial manufacturing is seeking two experienced Wastewater Operators to join our North Attleboro facility. This organization supports critical industries including electronics, medical, automotive, and industrial manufacturing through environmentally responsible processing and recovery operations.

We currently have openings on 2nd and 3rd shift. 

? Training Schedule:
All new hires will complete training on 1st shift for the first 1–2 weeks:
Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Position Summary

The Wastewater Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the wastewater treatment system safely and efficiently to support production operations and ensure compliance with local discharge permits and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Massachusetts Grade 2 Industrial Wastewater License required

  • 1–2+ years of wastewater treatment, chemical processing, electrochemical refining, or plating experience preferred

  • Experience handling hazardous chemicals including acids and bases

  • Strong math, chemistry, and troubleshooting skills

  • Mechanical aptitude with pumps, piping, gauges, filters, and hand tools

  • Forklift experience preferred (training available)

Responsibilities Include

  • Monitoring and recording wastewater flow systems

  • Operating pumps, pH meters, flow meters, and filtration systems

  • Changing filters and performing routine maintenance

  • Collecting samples for lab testing

  • Maintaining chemical inventories and supplies

  • Assisting with waste solution handling and disposal

  • Following all SOPs, OSHA, environmental, and safety regulations

  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area

Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move materials using handling equipment

  • Ability to climb ladders, bend, twist, push, and work in confined spaces

  • Comfortable working around heat, dust, noise, and industrial fumes
