Shift: 6am-2pm (Monday-Friday)
Pay Rate: $22-25/hr

 

 

What’s a typical day as a Chemical Production Operator? You’ll be:

  • Loading and unloading materials, and moving them for further processing or shipment

  • Setting up, monitoring, and preparing materials for chemical processing, refinement, and finished product production

  • Initiating and monitoring chemical reactions and refinery manufacturing processes

  • Operating chemical distribution equipment, scrubbers, dust collectors, pumps, and gas tank changeouts

  • Completing documentation and refinery paperwork, including verification of weights and volumes

  • Assisting with periodic maintenance of equipment (cleanouts, calibrations, filter replacements, etc.)

  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area and following all safety and environmental regulations

  • Reporting to the Department Supervisor and performing other duties as directed

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a H.S. Diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Possess strong math and English skills, and attention to detail

  • Are able to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physical activities such as standing, bending, reaching, and pushing

  • Have at least one year of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment (willing to train the right candidate)

  • Are able to work with metallurgical refining and automated chemical processes, or are eager to learn

  • Demonstrate good mechanical aptitude and chemical handling abilities

  • Can operate manual and powered material handling equipment and power tools safely

  • Are comfortable wearing personal protective equipment in an industrial environment
