Job Duration: 6+ Month
Shift: 1st Mon to Fri (on-site)
Pay rate: $20/hrs
Job Summary:
This role is responsible for the daily operation of the design center as a color match technician or sample-making technician, including the production schedule, ordering raw materials, maintaining a clean work station and following safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- KPIs include sample quality, meeting production schedule and daily 3S.
- Meet production schedule while maintaining a high level of product quality.
- Perform assembly and packaging and shipping duties in accordance with written product specifications and company SOPs.
- Perform in-process visual inspection and quality testing of product material to ensure it meets criteria.
- Responsible for documentation on schedules through Sales Force.
- Communicates production work issues.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and the quality of the product.
- Fully trained in the production of samples or color matching; but not both (Level 2).
- Color matching or production of special request floor and wall system samples for customer approval.
- Maintain database of color matches or custom samples.
- Responsible for reporting daily/weekly progress and daily shutdown of station.
- Responsible for communicating with Team Leader on any Paid Time Off for approval.
- Available to work extended hours when required.
- Creation, cutting, cleaning and labeling our floor and wall system samples.
- Communicate immediately when order will not ship by due date or cannot be made as requested.
- Work productively in a high-pressure environment.
- Set high standard for quality and productivity.
- Establish good relationships with customers and staff.
- Lean Six Sigma experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Must possess good mathematical skills
- Must possess good basic computer skills
- Must possess basic oral and written communication skills
- Five years of Quality, Color Match or Production experience
- Five years of Customer Service experience
- 1-3 years’ Experience
