About the Role
The Quality Control Technician performs chemical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and bulk products to ensure they meet quality and regulatory standards. Testing activities include qualitative, quantitative, and investigational assays performed in compliance with USP, FDA, cGMP, and company procedures. Results are analyzed, documented, and compared against specifications. This role requires knowledge of laboratory testing, quality concepts, and the ability to work independently on routine assignments.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct Testing & Analyze Results

  • Perform chemical and physical assays on raw materials, intermediate products, and bulk samples

  • Accurately analyze, interpret, and document test results

  • Perform calculations, record observations, and complete peer reviews

  • Identify atypical or out-of-specification (OOS) results, instrument issues, or testing problems and assist with investigations and corrective actions

  • Use LIMS and electronic systems to collect, manage, and maintain laboratory data

  • Follow SOPs and apply problem-solving skills to complete assignments

Laboratory Support

  • Coordinate daily testing activities and support workflow management within the lab

  • Prepare and maintain media, buffers, reagents, and related records

  • Keep laboratory workspaces clean, organized, and compliant with safety and quality standards

SOPs & Administrative Support

  • Assist with analyzing study, project, or investigation findings under management guidance

  • Follow SOPs and regulatory requirements while completing technical and administrative tasks

  • Support continuous improvement and compliance initiatives as needed

Qualifications
Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field

  • 0–1 year of quality or laboratory experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of quality systems and laboratory procedures

  • Hands-on experience or familiarity with analytical instrumentation such as:

    • HPLC

    • GC

    • TLC

    • UV/Vis

    • FTIR/ATR


  • Knowledge of cGMP requirements and standard laboratory documentation practices

  • Experience with LIMS is preferred
