Service Technician _ Water Equipment
DAY SHIFT- 6 am- 6 PM (Pitman Schedule)
Contract position- 6 months+
- Supporting Service Center uptime by performing scheduled and corrective maintenance on water treatment equipment
- Preparing, testing, and mobilizing equipment during peak demand periods
- Conducting hands-on training for technician and operator-level personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety
- Maintaining accurate inventory of spare parts and consumables, and managing replenishment orders
- Documenting Service Center activities, equipment condition reports, and training records in accordance with SOPs
- Operating, monitoring, and optimizing water treatment systems at customer facilities, including media filtration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, ion exchange, EDI, clarification, and chemical injection systems
- Troubleshooting and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment (motors, PLCs, VFDs, valves, air compressors, process pumps, etc.)
- Conducting detailed analytical testing (turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO?, O?, SDI, TOC, etc.)
- Communicating system status to customer management, providing technical summaries of work performed
- Responding to emergency service requests and participating in the on-call rotation
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a High School Diploma / GED with 5+ years of service, maintenance, or operations experience in an industrial environment; OR an Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering (STEM), Instrumentation, Controls, or related discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation
- Can obtain and maintain access credentials for customer sites
- Are willing and able to perform physical duties including lifting, climbing, working at heights, and confined space entry
- Have experience with PLC control systems, programming, and troubleshooting (preferred)
- Have previous experience in water treatment operations or industrial services (preferred)
- Have experience mentoring or training technician-level personnel (preferred)
