Kelly® is seeking a Material Handler I to work at a premier life sciences organization in Germantown, MD. Sound like something you’re interested in?
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
Shift: 1st

What’s a typical day as Material Handler? You’ll be:
- Preparing samples or clinical agents for pickups, courier deliveries, and shipments
- Supporting customer inquiries, discrepancies, inventory maintenance, and database updates in close collaboration with managers
- Using inventory management systems for data entry, sample tracking, and management of specimens and materials
- Maintaining files for validation, reviewing data for accuracy, and preparing reports
- Performing specimen consolidation and reorganization projects under the guidance of a Lead Operations Technician
- Participating in process improvement activities
- Receiving, handling, and inventorying specimens at various temperatures, including potentially hazardous materials
- Assuring compliance with cGMP
- Following SOPs, facility safety guidelines, and FDA requirements
- Preparing sample collection kits as needed and making
- May be required to operate a forklift
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Bring experience in a material handling, warehouse, or operations technician role (preferred)
- Are comfortable working independently and being self-directed
- Can use database applications and inventory management systems proficiently
- Communicate effectively and use sound judgment in decision-making
- Can adhere to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
- Are willing to handle materials at various temperatures and with potentially hazardous properties
