Job Posting: Senior Warehouse Clerk – Shipping, Receiving & Overhead Crane Support

Location: Bedford Park, IL
Compensation: $20.50–$22.50/hr+, based on experience
Job Type: Full-time | 6-Month Assignment, Possible Extension
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP (upon selection and clearance)


About the Opportunity

Are you an experienced warehouse professional who thrives in a hands-on, small-team environment? Our Bedford Park operation is seeking a Senior Warehouse Clerk to support shipping, receiving, and overhead crane functions. This role goes beyond routine tasks; your day will involve material handling, equipment operation, documentation, and stepping up to meet daily warehouse needs. You’ll join a tight-knit group, where reliability and versatility are recognized and rewarded.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily shipping and receiving for industrial parts and materials

  • Operate an overhead crane/hoist to move assigned items safely

  • Use a sit-down forklift and other material handling equipment

  • Receive, stage, organize, and prepare parts for internal movement or outbound shipment

  • Assist in loading/unloading, inventory movement, and warehouse organization

  • Use scanners, WMS tools, and Excel for tracking material flow and basic reporting

  • Apply basic measuring tools, such as calipers, for part/material verification

  • Follow PPE and safety protocols, including hard hat use for crane activity

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse conditions

  • Communicate shipment and material status proactively

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months of recent overhead crane/hoist experience required

  • 1+ year overhead crane/hoist experience strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated skill in shipping/receiving, material handling, warehouse operations, and inventory movement

  • Recent sit-down forklift experience strongly preferred

  • Comfortable with scanners, WMS, Excel, and warehouse paperwork

  • Able to learn and use basic measuring tools (e.g., calipers)

  • Physically capable of warehouse duties (lifting, staging, organizing)

  • Strong communication and attention to detail
