Pay Rate: $25.00–$28.00 per hour
Shift: M-F 7-3:30, with occasional OT
What’s a typical day as Metal Manufacturing Machine Operator? You’ll be:
- Setting up, operating, and maintaining metal fabrication machines such as presses, shears, rollers, CNC machines, and lathes
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, work orders, and production drawings to ensure accurate production
- Measuring and inspecting finished products to ensure they meet exact specifications
- Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting equipment issues as needed
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area in accordance with strict safety standards
- Recording production data and promptly reporting any material or equipment issues
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to consistently meet production goals
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have 1 to 2 years of experience in metal manufacturing, preferably in the metal roofing and siding industry
- Possess previous experience with machine setup, calibration, and operation
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Are adaptable, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Can read blueprints, follow safety procedures, and perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, and divide with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals)
- Are physically capable of standing for extended periods, working in non climate-controlled environments, and lifting up to 70 pounds
