Job details

Job Title: Maintenance Worker - 

Location: Houston, TX 77034

Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM | Occasional weekend overtime required. 

Contract: 6 months

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 15-20 years of experience preferred in construction management, utility operations, safety compliance, materials management, or land management
• Transmission line or linear construction project experience preferred
• Working knowledge of SAP or similar work management software
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to operate a 4WD pickup truck
• Ability to work outdoors and wear required personal protective equipment
• Ability to travel occasionally to field sites and other work locations

Responsibilities:
• Monitor transmission line construction contractors to ensure work is performed safely and according to company and regulatory standards
• Review work orders and coordinate with contractors before and during field activities
• Identify and resolve project obstacles, access issues, permits, and scheduling concerns
• Meet with customers and landowners to discuss construction impacts and resolve concerns
• Assist contractors with material selection, procurement, and delivery coordination
• Interpret technical drawings, maps, sketches, and transmission standards
• Perform field quality inspections and oversee corrective actions for rejected work
• Maintain and update work management records and job documentation
• Communicate job progress, outages, deviations, and project concerns to Operations Supervisors
• Use SAP applications to review work orders and complete job close-out activities
• Evaluate contractor performance and assist with compliance reporting
