Kelly Services is hiring a Failure Analysis Technician  to work on site within a climate-controlled warehouse, servicing a premiere company located in Georgetown, TX 78628. Resume required.

We are looking for an experienced Failure Analysis Technician Lead to oversee daily failure analysis operations in a high-volume server manufacturing environment. This senior, hands-on leader will diagnose complex hardware and system-level failures, mentor FA technicians, and work cross-functionally to drive root cause investigations and corrective actions.

Shift: 7:00am – 4:00pm
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour, (Paid Weekly!!!)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform failure analysis on returned or in-process defective units, including servers, PCBs, and subassemblies

  • Conduct root cause analysis using methodologies such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and fault isolation techniques

  • Utilize diagnostic and test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and software-based diagnostic tools to identify hardware and system-level issues

  • Document analysis findings, corrective actions, and repair validation results in detailed FA reports and internal systems

  • Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

  • Support yield improvement initiatives by identifying recurring failure trends and recommending process improvements

  • Assist with rework and repair validation activities as needed

  • Ensure proper ESD handling procedures and maintain compliance with safety standards

  • Track, analyze, and report failure data to support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or technical certification in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience

  • 1–3+ years of experience in failure analysis, electronics repair, manufacturing test, or related technical environments

  • Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals including circuits, components, and schematics

  • Experience troubleshooting server hardware, PCBs, or system-level electronics preferred

  • Familiarity with diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and automated test tools

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and engineering documentation

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in server, storage, or data center hardware manufacturing environments

  • Knowledge of quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma

  • Familiarity with advanced failure analysis tools including X-ray inspection, thermal imaging, or boundary scan (JTAG)

  • Experience using failure tracking systems, MES platforms, or manufacturing databases
